Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Dear friends, colleagues, customers and partners,

Warmest thoughts and Best Wishes
for a wonderful Holiday Season
and a very Happy New 2014 Year!

— the unadox team

Year 2013 is almost a history, and we would like to remind you to consider all your insurance claims and related expenses as a part of year 2013 tax declaration. Have a look how much you have spent, and what is the local legislation? Are you entitled for deductions if certain amount is exceeded?

For example, you may take a look at your dashboard, particularly at the total expenses figure, and decide if you want to include this into your declaration. Go to “Claim list” tab and select 2013 to see the list of all claims you have made last year.

  • how much the excess is. The excess is the amount of money that your insurer will take off the claim. It may not be worth making a claim if the amount you’re claiming for is less than this
  • the small print. Make sure there’s nothing in the terms and conditions that prevents you from claiming
  • whether it’s a new for old policy. If it isn’t, the amount you get for items you’re claiming for will be less than the cost of replacing them. This is because the insurer takes off money for wear and tear. Continue reading
